See you there,
Billy Grant
Oprah loves Billy and so does Gayle King. And what they love the best is Grant’s famous grilled lobster and cheese sandwich. Yes, the same exact one that appeared in Esquire’s March issue of “Best Sandwiches In America”. Gayle showed up recently at Bricco with a camera crew and taped an interview with our very own “celebrity chef” Billy. It aired today on Oprah.
So the next time you’re in West Hartford Center, stop into Grant’s and try this amazing sandwich that Oprah and Gayle both loved.

RECIPE
2 slices of thickly sliced country white bread
4 ounces chunked fresh lobster meat*
2 slices Havarti cheese
Unsalted butter to butter both sides of the bread
Toast the sandwich on the buttered side until golden brown on both sides. Place in a 400° oven for a few minutes until cheese melts. Allow to cool a minute, then enjoy!
*All the meat from a 1 1/4-pound lobster—ask your local fish market to steam the lobster and remove the meat for you! If fresh lobster is not available, you can substitute high-quality frozen lobster.
Chef Billy Grant and his equally creative staff do many amazing things in the kitchen. But here’s a seasonal pièce de résistance: Girl Scout Cookie Pie.
